Hilarious Musical Mash-Up of 16th-century Shakespeare and 21st Century Broadway!
Unfortunately due to health and safety concerns, along with scheduling issues from Covid (current and anticipated) that have affected our ability to rehearse, prepare and present the high quality theater production we always seek to offer, The Hudson Players have POSTPONED to a time TBA our production of “Something Rotten”. New dates and details will be announced mid-Summer. Ticket holders can contact our box office for refunds, exchanges or a gift certificates for future productions.
Our next production will be “The Bikinis – A New Musical Beach Party” to open April 29th (auditions Feb 13 & 14). This show promises to get everyone dancing in the aisles, and tells the story of THE BIKINIS, or “The Jersey Girls,” as they gather for a reunion and look back and relive their heyday and beyond, beginning the summer of 1964, the night these four inseparable friends got their name, winning the Belmar Beach Talent Contest. The boardwalk was smitten with the 4 teens… Jodi and Annie, two sisters from Paramus New Jersey; Karla, their slightly manipulative first cousin from Philly; and best friend Barbara, from Staten Island.
THE BIKINIS is a nonstop celebration of song filled with hits like IT’S IN HIS KISS, YELLOW POLKA DOT BIKINI, HEAT WAVE, UNDER THE BOARDWALK, THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKIN’, INCENSE AND PEPPERMINTS, LOOK WHAT THEY’VE DONE TO MY SONG, MA, WHEN WILL I BE LOVED, I’M EVERY WOMAN, I WILL SURVIVE, IT’S RAINING MEN and many more!
